What a morning it was! On September 6th, the streets of Kuala Lumpur were alive with energy, patriotism, and the pounding of 1,008 running shoes.
We at Tenacore Technology are incredibly proud to have hosted our inaugural Larian Anak Malaysia, held in conjunction with the Merdeka and Hari Malaysia celebrations. Watching 1,008 enthusiastic participants gather at Dataran DBKL was a truly humbling experience and a beautiful reminder of what makes our nation so special.
Why We Ran
As a healthcare and medical supply company, our day-to-day work at Tenacore revolves around providing hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals with the essential supplies they need to save and improve lives. But we also believe that healthcare doesn't just start in a clinic—it begins in our communities, in our daily habits, and on the pavement.
We organized Larian Anak Malaysia because we wanted to step out of the supply chain and directly onto the streets to promote preventive health. What better way to celebrate our nation's independence and unity than by fostering a culture of active, healthy living?
Taking Over KL Car Free Morning
Partnering with the beloved KL Car Free Morning initiative allowed us to offer our runners a safe, spectacular route right through the heart of the Golden Triangle.
Starting and finishing at Dataran DBKL, the atmosphere was electric from the first light of dawn. It was deeply moving to see a sea of Malaysians—from seasoned marathoners aiming for their personal bests to families pushing strollers—running side-by-side. Seeing so many of you decked out in the colors of the Jalur Gemilang brought a unique, festive spirit to the morning that perfectly captured the essence of Hari Malaysia.
